Hours come from clocks, from people who clock for the crew, and from the office adding a day. They all go in one ledger, against the job they were worked on, and the same hours feed pay, My pay and job costs. The page is called Timesheets, and Payroll once payroll is switched on for your team.
Where hours come from
- Each person clocks themselves in, on a job or on Shop.
- Someone with the clock-my-crew permission clocks in for others. Clock my crew on Today or a job does it for someone else, another job or Shop.
- The office adds or edits a day.
- Pay by the piece or by the job needs no clock.
Review the week
Week review walks one week at a time, in four steps. When the week is approved, choose Run payroll for it. Only approved hours reach a pay run, and hours already paid cannot be paid twice. Only a manager with time access edits and approves, and nobody approves their own hours.
- Open clocks: a clock left running. Set its out time in one step, or leave it. A clock nobody stops is stopped at your team's cap and flagged.
- Fixes and disputes: approve a fix request to correct the day, with an audit line, or correct the day yourself and answer the dispute. You can deny a fix with a note.
- Flagged days: auto-stopped clocks, long days, missing days and no-job time. Mark Looks right with a reason when it is.
- Approve clean rows: approving locks the week. Any later edit reopens it and the crew confirm again.
History
Timesheets from before the ledger stay under Past timesheets, read only.
Pro tip: Approve by mid-week for the week before. A pay run takes minutes. The wait is usually the approvals.
