Jobs: where the work lives

The Jobs page lists every job three ways: List, Board and Schedule. Every customer, drawing, estimate and invoice hangs off a job.

A job is one piece of work for one customer. The Jobs page is where you find any job and see what it needs next.

Three lenses, one set of jobs

Pick how you want to look at your jobs. The lens you leave is remembered.

The Schedule lens is where dispatching happens. There is no separate Dispatch page.

  • List: search every job and act on each row's next move.
  • Board: jobs by stage, with what is stalling.
  • Schedule: Day, Week, Month, Gantt and Map. Who goes where, and when.

The five tiles

Across the top, five tiles count the jobs that need you. Tap a tile to see exactly those jobs.

A count that cannot be read shows a dash, never a zero.

  • Ready to schedule: sold and ready for a date.
  • Needs crew: has a day but nobody on it.
  • Running late: past its day or its finish.
  • Stuck: waiting too long in Measured or Ready to order.
  • On hold.

Views and search

Views narrow the list: Active, Mine, Finished, Cancelled and On hold. You can save your own view from the filters and share it with the team. Views follow you to every device.

Search takes a job number, a name, an address or a phone number. It looks across every view, finished and cancelled jobs included.

Act from the row

Every row shows the next move for that job, such as Schedule, Add crew, Start or Finish. Use the row menu to put a job on hold, cancel it, change its crew or move its date. On iPad, Mac and web you can select several rows and assign a crew, hold them, or move them by days.

Pro tip: Open Ready to schedule every morning. Those jobs are sold and waiting for a date.

Start a job

Tap the plus button and choose New job. See Create your first job.

If you work in the field

Your Jobs page is My jobs, with Today, Next and Done. Each row has the buttons you use on a visit.
