The job flow follows a sold job from the sale to the finish. The server works out each job's step from what has happened, so you never drag a job from step to step by hand.
The steps
On hold and Cancelled sit beside these. Backlog means everything from Sold to Ready to schedule.
- Sold: approved, and a measure visit is still needed.
- Visit booked: a measure visit is on the calendar.
- Measured: the visit is done.
- Ready to order: a draft order exists.
- Ready to schedule: ordered, or nothing needs ordering.
- Scheduled, In progress and Finished.
The strip
The strip is above the Jobs board. For each early step it shows how many jobs, their value and how long the oldest has waited. A job waiting too long in Measured or Ready to order shows as stuck. The strip also shows the month: Finished, Scheduled to finish, and what is on the calendar.
- Tap a step to see exactly those jobs.
- Narrow it by market, trade or person.
- Tap Weekly review to open the Friday record.
Hold a job
Use Put on hold when a job cannot move for now. Choose a reason and, if you know it, when it is expected back. The job keeps its stage, dates and crew. It is not counted as stuck or late. Resume it when it is ready.
Why jobs move
Whenever you push a finish date into a later month, hold a job or cancel one, the app asks why. Reasons: Material delay, Customer, Weather, Crew, Permit, Financing fell through, Scope disagreement, Customer changed plans, Measuring error and Other. The reasons show up in the Weekly review.
Settings
Settings, Company, Job flow sets these:
- Step names, which you can rename per trade.
- Stuck after: how many business days before a job shows as stuck.
- Trades without orders.
- Whose numbers a job is: the person on the measure visit or the crew lead.
- Whether crew see their own dollars.
- The hour of Friday's record, a forecast drop alert and the odds used for Likely.
Pro tip: Give every push a real reason. The Weekly review turns reasons into patterns you can fix.
