Every job shows its next move, with a button that does it. You never have to remember where a job stands.
Where you see it
- On the job page, at the top of Overview.
- On each row of the Jobs list.
- On Today, in Needs you.
What it can say
The next move depends on where the job is.
On the Money tab the money journey shows the money step: Price, Sign, Deposit, Bill or Paid.
- Book the visit: the job is sold and still needs a measure visit.
- Build the order and Send the order: the visit is done and materials must be ordered.
- Schedule: everything is ready and the job needs a day.
- Add crew, Start and Finish once it is on the calendar.
- Resume, if the job is on hold.
It cannot go stale
The move is worked out from the real record: the drawing, the agreement, the money, the visit, the purchase orders and the crew. When something happens, the next move changes by itself.
Steps that do not apply
Some jobs skip steps. A job measured before the sale skips the visit. A trade that orders nothing, such as painting, skips the order. Set which trades order nothing in Settings, Company, Job flow.
Field verify
For some signed jobs the next move is a field verify: a check of the real measurements before anything is ordered. Settings, Selling, Field verify sets when it is needed.
Pro tip: Work the top of every stalled job. That is the difference between a pipeline and a pile.
