Voice input lets you speak instead of type, in two ways: tag drafts from the command bar and dictation into notes.
Voice tags
Tap the mic in the command bar, say what you see, then tap again. The AI turns the transcript into draft tags, such as "3 double-hung windows on the north wall, 36 by 60, and a sliding glass door on the east side". Review the drafts before you place them. Short clear phrases with sizes, counts and places work best, and common abbreviations like DH and SH are understood. Voice tags need internet and a plan with AI.
Dictation into notes
The mic beside Drawing Notes and tag Notes is plain speech-to-text, appended to the field, using on-device recognition where it can, so it can work offline.
Permissions
The first tap asks for Microphone and Speech Recognition. If you said no, allow them in the iOS Settings app. A session ends after 60 seconds or on silence.
